ST. PAUL TO SEE FIRST SENIOR GRADUATION
By: Min Woo Nam – 3rd Year High School
It has been a long journey for the Senior Students this year after all the duties and responsibilities they have shouldered. Now they are at the last leg of their journey as High school students, as they are about to leave the portals of of their Alma Mater. For the first time, we shall see the very first High School Graduation in St. Paul as the school opened the 4th year class just this school year.
The seniors have been through a lot challenging and fun experiences. Periodical Tests, the NCAE (National Career Achievement Exam), which they all passed, are only a few of their many experiences. They got to experience outreach programs and the first ever Junior-Senior Prom which everyone enjoyed. The pressure of being the first senior graduating class accompanied them all the way. Joseph Valerian Carreon, a 4th Year student and the St. Paul Student Coordinating Body President for S.Y. 2009-20010 said “Challenges surround us especially our upcoming graduation but we will manage to overcome it all and emerge victorious.”
The Seniors are composed of a lot of talented students, each of them with special abilities, talents and skills that represent their unique images. In the academics, we have Arianna Gaviola, Joseph Carreon, Ho Joon (Fred) Kim and Natasha Castillo. There are Leaders like Joseph Carrreon and Paolo Quibranza, Athletes like Adam Canonigo and Jon Carvajal, Artists like Davy Bolivar and Rafael Bergado and Singers like Patrick Pimentel, Mary Ann Avergonzado and Kate Evero.
As the pioneering high school graduates of St. Paul, they will also be the first to show the output of the school to the outside world. They will be the first to prove and show other people what St. Paul students are made of. They have to live up to the Paulinian Pledge they recite everyday which is “Paulinians today, caring leaders of tomorrow.”
